• We had a big sale pending at 55 Liberty street, just weeks before Lehman Brothers imploded. Let's just say that the buyers knew what was coming in the banking sector, well before the sellers did. The sale never happened. The buyers came to the closing table and tried to negotiate a sales price of $1,000,000 less than the contract price.
